About
"Don’t worry, darling—you’ll forget why you ever wanted to leave."
Welcome to Fairyland! It’s colorful. It’s magical. Everyone is so happy you’re here. There’s just one small problem: you’re pretty sure you used to be an adult.
In Once Upon a F&%$ing Time players awaken in childlike bodies inside a pastel-drenched fairy-tale world where something has gone terribly, delightfully wrong. Toys whisper things they shouldn’t know. Tea parties stretch on just a little too long. The fae are charming, helpful, and absolutely certain you belong here. And the longer you stay, the harder it becomes to remember exactly who you were before you arrived.
Game System: Tarot-Based Once Upon A F&$%ing Time Roleplaying Game
Experience Level: 🟩 None: No experience necessary. We love teaching!
This introductory one-shot invites players into the dark, irreverent world of Once Upon a F&%$ing Time through a mix of twisted fairy-tale exploration, roleplay, mystery, absurd humor, and horror. Together, you’ll investigate your strange new surroundings, encounter the unsettling inhabitants of Fairyland, try to hold onto pieces of your identity, and—hopefully—figure out how to get the hell out.
Expect cursed whimsy, dark comedy, creepy-cute horror, collaborative storytelling, and plenty of opportunities to make wonderfully questionable decisions. No previous experience with the game is needed. Come ready to play, get weird, and remember one very important thing: Don’t worry. You’ll love it here. Everyone does. Eventually.
"An immersive tabletop gaming experience like no other!"

Meet your Game Master.

Jessy Coleman is a lifelong lover of collaborative storytelling, immersive worlds, and seeing what happens when players are given a story and permission to make it completely their own. She has GMed personal games and ongoing D&D campaigns, facilitated therapeutic roleplaying games as a licensed therapist, and brought games to convention tables, including Gen Con.
As a GM, Jessy loves creating an immersive experience—yes, there may be costumes, props, voices, and an unreasonable commitment to setting the scene—but the players are always at the heart of the story. She believes some of the best moments at the table are the ones the GM could never have planned.
Whether you're an experienced roleplayer or sitting down at a TTRPG table for the very first time, Jessy wants you to feel like there's a seat at the table for you. She loves setting the scene, but she loves seeing what you create with it even more.

Content Warnings
Every game, game runner and players are different. Please know it may be possible that some of the following subjects arise during game play through the game content or via the players. Such topics may include but are not limited to:
strong language and cursing
violence and blood
character death
stealing and illegal behavior
horror content including:
This is a dark horror-comedy game that intentionally explores fears, phobias, and unsettling childhood imagery. Players may encounter themes including loss of identity and memory, body transformation/body horror, creepy dolls and toys, distorted fairy tales, unsettling children’s imagery, threatening or manipulative fae, abandonment, confinement, loss of control, and characters being confronted with their fears.
Because fear and phobia are part of the game’s premise, specific horror content may vary based on the characters and choices made at the table. Players will never be expected to engage with a real-life fear or phobia they do not consent to exploring.
We will establish boundaries before play, and safety tools will be available throughout the session. Players may pause, redirect, or step away from content at any time without needing to explain why.
This game combines horror with absurdity, irreverence, and dark humor, but player safety and consent always take priority over the story.
Possible physical warnings include but are not limited to:
lighting effects and flashing
audio effects and music
video and animations
smells
fog/steam
