"We prayed for the children to come home. Last night, something answered.”

For weeks, children have vanished from isolated villages without a trace. Doors remain locked, windows undisturbed, and no signs of struggle can be found. The only common thread is a haunting melody heard in the dead of night and whispers of an abandoned monastery where the bells have begun ringing again.

Desperate families have offered everything they possess for answers. But those who have ventured into the surrounding wilderness have either disappeared themselves or returned speaking of impossible things. Something ancient has awakened, and whatever lurks within the monastery has a purpose far more sinister than simple murder.

A deeply dark Pathfinder horror adventure where innocence is no protection, and some fates are worse than death.

The Gilded Shepherd is a dark fantasy horror adventure for 5th-level Pathfinder 1e characters. Players can expect unsettling mysteries, exploration, challenging combat, disturbing discoveries, and difficult moral decisions. Not every enemy can be defeated by steel, and not every victory comes without sacrifice.

A Single One-Shot Game Session

This private session will be about 3 hours playing with one of our community Game Masters in the most immersive and private setting of Mythic Hall. You'll have plenty of one-on-one time with the Game Master and enjoy the times with your party of adventurers. Bring your party and friends or make new ones at the table.

Hey, I'm Chris. I’ve been a Dungeon Master for years and have a passion for creating immersive adventures, memorable characters, and challenging encounters. While this is only my second game hosted here, I bring years of experience behind the GM screen.

I particularly enjoy dark fantasy, creative storytelling, unexpected twists, and putting players in situations where their decisions truly matter. My games combine roleplaying, exploration, tactical combat, and meaningful consequences. I believe the best adventures are the ones players are still talking about long after the dice stop rolling.

Whether you’re a veteran adventurer or relatively new to tabletop RPGs, my goal is to make sure everyone has a memorable experience. Bring your imagination, expect the unexpected, and remember: not every story has a happy ending.  

Game Details

• Bring your character and mini: create a Level 7 Pathfinder compatible character. Otherwise, pre-generated characters will be available.

• Ticket is for all 1 session on the date/time listed above.

What should I bring?

• One set of dice (though a hoard is never frowned upon)

• You can bring your own character sheet and mini. Otherwise, pre-made character sheets will be provided.

• Character miniature. If you don’t have one we can 3D print one for you! Design it yourself at Hero Forge and we can have it ready for you at the table.

• Note-taking supplies (pencil or pen and notebook or paper)

• Anything else? We have a small physical storefront with dice, notebooks and other fun stuff we're sure you'll love. So, if you forget your dice, or find a set you fancy in our collection we will have some available for purchase.

Content Warnings

Every game, game runner and player is different. Please know it may be possible that some of the following subjects could arise during game play, through the game content or via the players. Such topics may include but are not limited to:

• MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY (18+). This adventure features extremely dark themes, including,

• strong language and cursing

• violence and blood

• character death

• stealing and illegal behavior

• missing children, child endangerment

•  psychological horror, necromancy, undead

• disturbing imagery, captivity, ritual sacrifice

• morally difficult decisions

• This is intended to be an intense, unsettling horror experience. Player discretion is strongly advised.
