Once a proud fortress, Blackthorne Keep now looms as a broken silhouette against the sky, its towers cracked and its banners long since rotted away. Locals whisper that something ancient has claimed it… something that breathes smoke into the clouds at dusk. Livestock have gone missing. Entire caravans have vanished. And on certain nights, a distant roar rolls across the hills like thunder.

You are among the few brave enough to answer the call. A hefty bounty has been posted to end the terror, but gold isn’t the only thing buried in Blackthorne Keep. The castle was abandoned in haste, its vaults sealed, its secrets left behind. What treasures lie beneath this fortress?

This one-shot puts you on the outskirts of Blackthorne Keep, a cursed fortress taken ownership by a Black Dragon. Take up the role of the hero as you embark on this quest for glory, wealth, and protection of the weak.

A Single One-Shot Game Session

This private session will be about 3 hours playing with one of our community Game Masters in the most immersive and private setting of Mythic Hall. You'll have plenty of one-on-one time with the Game Master and enjoy the times with your party of adventurers. Bring your party and friends or make new ones at the table.

Hello! My name is Derrick. I've been playing ttrpgs for about 15 years now. In my friend group I was always the one most excited to play. So, of course I was stuck with the role of forever DM. That's okay though, because I usually prefer DMing anyway!

I have the most experience in 5e and Star Wars D20. I'm looking forward to expanding my systems and playing games like Cosmere RPG, Call of Cthulu, Power Rangers TTRPG, and The Last Airbender RPG. Keep a lookout for those systems showing up on Mythic Hall! I also love building stuff, and I almost always have some sort of set piece for my games. I love encouraging role play from my players when I DM and I like to tell cool stories together. I'm typically pretty rules light but depending on the system and crew that of course can change. At the end of the day, rule of cool always wins out for me!

Game Details

• Bring your character and mini or use ours for ease: you can create a Level 5 D&D 2024 compatible character built in D&D Beyond. Otherwise, pre-generated characters will also be available.

• Suggest to bring a backup character sheet (or 2). This may be deadly!

• Some experience is helpful.

• Ticket is for all 1 session on the date/time listed above.

What should I bring?

• One set of dice (though a hoard is never frowned upon)

• Bring your character sheet ready to play or DnDBeyond app. Otherwise, pre-made character sheets will be provided.

• Bring your character miniature. If you don’t have one we can 3D print one for you! Design it yourself at Hero Forge and we can have it ready for you at the table.

• Also, bring backup characters. 😈

• Note-taking supplies (pencil or pen and notebook or paper)

• Anything else? We have a small physical storefront with dice, notebooks and other fun stuff we're sure you'll love. So, if you forget your dice, or find a set you fancy in our collection we will have some available for purchase.
