About
"Don't listen to the magpies."
You arrive in the eerie town of Thornborough. You've heard there's work for adventurers here, but you can't quite remember who told you? On arrival to the remote village, deep in an ancient forest and with limited outside contact, you pass the town sign to see a single magpie perched on top, silently watching.
The atmosphere is odd and off putting, villagers don't look you in the eye, they flinch at the smallest noises, some are angry. Monsters have been attacking the village lately, and you seem just the type to deal with the problem. There's something wrong with this village. It's your job to figure it out...or die trying. Good luck adventurer, you're going to need it.
Game System: Dungeons and Dragons 2024/5e
Experience Level: 🟩 Very little. You played once or twice before and know there are dice involved.
One for Sorrow is a short campaign for players leveled 3-5. It is a story of Eldritch horror, the rise of a malicious AI, and dealing with a corrupt power. As mentioned this is technically a horror setting. So be prepared for body horror, distressing situations, and unnerving scenarios.
"An immersive tabletop gaming experience like no other!"
A Multi-Session Mini Campaign
This mini campaign includes 4 private sessions which will be about 3 hours each, playing with one of our community Game Masters in the most immersive and private setting of Mythic Hall. You'll have plenty of one-on-one time with the Game Master and enjoy the times with your party of adventurers. Bring your party and friends or make new ones at the table.
Built for a Private and Immersive Game Experience
The seat cap is 6 players for an optimal experience
This session is in a quiet, private room designed specifically for an immersive experience
Room features a movie-quality set, effect lighting, sounds, even scents - all controlled by the Game Master

Meet your Game Master.

Howdy, I'm SP or 'Boggs'. I’ve been playing RPGs for the better part of 10 years. I mainly run Dungeons and Dragons but I have a massive collection of games of all shapes and sizes I like to run. I've had a career based on teaching and I'm most thrilled to teach games. You may have seen or heard me at SeaQuest during education sessions and tours. So, animals are a passion. Ask me anything about animals. I'll have an answer. And feel free to ask me about my favorite penguin!

When building a character, everything from the base Player Handbook is fair game. Start them at level 3. Flavor is always free. So, by all means, get weird with it. The encounters in this are balanced to be challenging. So, you may want to prep another character or two to be safe.
What should I bring?
One set of dice (though a hoard is never frowned upon)
You can bring your own character sheet and mini. Otherwise, pre-made character sheets will be provided.
Character miniature. If you don’t have one we can 3D print one for you! Design it yourself at Hero Forge and we can have it ready for you at the table.
Note-taking supplies (pencil or pen and notebook or paper)
Anything else? We have a small physical storefront with dice, notebooks and other fun stuff we're sure you'll love. So, if you forget your dice, or find a set you fancy in our collection we will have some available for purchase.
