The Green Oaks Retirement Home is usually a nice and quiet place for older folks to spend their twilight years, at least it is if you ignore the constant bickering, name calling, and refusal to take medication (or at least the doctor prescribed medication).

In an attempt to help keep the peace amongst the restless residents, Green Oaks has hired a new Director of Nursing; Jodie Cathuln. Ever since she showed up, a growing number of the residents have changed. Instead of insulting each other or betting with Worthers, they just sit quietly and stare, mumbling incomprehensible words in a voice that doesn't sound quite right. When she pays a visit to your club, will any of you listen to her?

Green Oaks is a TTRPG system where you play as a senior citizen living your life at a Retirement home. You'll hear rumors, take naps, rant, and maybe even participate in a little Senior vs Senior PvP. There are no dice used, but instead cards are drawn like a game of bridge. Everything is almost certainly completely normal, just pay no attention to the residents who speak in ancient tongues.

A Single One-Shot Game Session

This private session will be about 3 hours playing with one of our community Game Masters in the most immersive and private setting of Mythic Hall. You'll have plenty of one-on-one time with the Game Master and enjoy the times with your party of adventurers. Bring your party and friends or make new ones at the table.

Howdy howdy - I'm Kevin Collier. I'm a GM with a few years of experience under my belt, and I've found running funny little one shot sessions like this one is a great way to catch a breath alongside ongoing campaigns (especially when most campaigns seem to take place in worlds where the sun doesn't exist, Vampire lords rule, or giant off-center moons are staring at you non stop). If you take a seat, I hope you find the fantasy of being old, cranky, and maybe a little senile to be a soothing reprieve.

• Ticket is for all 1 session on the date/time listed above.

• This will be a roleplay heavy session - and could possibly include topics that are not suitable for younger children. All characters are intended to be caricatures, and players should bring their best "Why did my children leave me in this horrible place" type energy.

Character creation is very easy for Green Oaks. Simply answer these questions and you are good to go.

What should I bring?

• One set of dice (though a hoard is never frowned upon)

• You can bring your own character sheet and mini. Otherwise, pre-made character sheets will be provided.

• Note-taking supplies (pencil or pen and notebook or paper)

• Anything else? We have a small physical storefront with dice, notebooks and other fun stuff we're sure you'll love. So, if you forget your dice, or find a set you fancy in our collection we will have some available for purchase.

Content Warnings

Every game, game runner and player is different. Please know it may be possible that some of the following subjects could arise during game play, through the game content or via the players. Such topics may include but are not limited to:
